Born to a Pennyslvania Dutch family, Jorjeana grew up churning butter and baking bread...
Actually her father was a Drill Sergeant in the US Army and her mother a devout Jehovah's Witness. Her social life consisted on knocking on doors, gun in hand "Have you heard about The Truth?
In school Jorjeana put on puppet shows with her feet and wrote punchlines for homework assignments.
Afterwards she, surprisingly, became an actress, stand-up comedienne, and writer who has appeared in films and on television shows and in theater both Off-Broadway and regionally.
She had one scene with Alec Baldwin in an unreleased movie-The Devil and Daniel Webster and was also featured on Chapelle's Show in a sketch she hopes her mother never sees.
An Official Humor Ambassador for the non-profit foundation Comedy Cures she has had the opportunity to perform for Paul Newman's Double H-Hole in the Wall, Gilda'a Club and Dream Street.
Jorjeana performs regularly in NYC, occasionally in LA and everywhere in between. Jorjeana is represented by Omnipop.
She starred in Christopher Durang's Laughing Wild at American Stage, performed at Eve Ensler's First Annual V-Day celebration, was Prsicilla (the cat) in the 42nd Street Workshop production of Priscilla's Neurosis is a member of The Neighborhood Playhouse Theater Workshop and a recent joined the ranks of New York Women in Film and Television.
The author of three one-woman shows: Bliss, Ally, Maryjane & Me and NY, I LOVE, Jorjeana has also written several plays, screenplays, hundreds of poems and a column for The Comic Bible where her interview with Eric Bogosian and Tales From the Comedy Trenches were revealed.
Working regularly in commercials and voice-overs, her clients vary from American Express to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation to Nickelodeon.
As a comedienne she's performed at some of the top clubs in the country: The Improv, Catch a Rising Star, Caroline's, Gotham Comedy Club, The Comedy Store and alongside the likes of Colin Quinn, Paul Mecurio, Laurie Kilmartin, Darrell Hammond, Louis CK, Marc Maron, Doug Stanhope and many other funny folks. She has also performed in several festivals and contests including The NY Fringe Festival, The Boston Comedy Festival, and the Annual Gilda's Laugh-Off.
